About Me
My name is Molly Balcer and I am currently a senior at Hilliard Davidson High School. I am involved in many things within my school and community. I hold the position of Student Council and Student Body President, Renaissance Ambassador, inducted member of National Honors Society, two-time state qualifying track and field athlete, and head viola in our top orchestral group.
For my Senior Capstone Project, I decided to pursue advanced studies in music because of my passion for my instrument, the viola. I started playing the viola in the fifth grade at Britton Elementary School. With the help of my wonderful instructors Mrs. Virginia Faulkner, Miss Caitlin Bartholic, Mr. Mark Sholl, and my private lessons teacher Mrs. Deborah Price, I was able to develop my talent and continue on the orchestral path for the past eight years of my life. Throughout my high school career, I have been a member of Chamber A orchestra and have become involved in many small groups outside of school such as the Davidson String Quartet and String Band, while also teaching private lessons to two seventh-grade students.
I hope this project is able to display my love of this art and I am excited to share it with you!
